What Happens When You Give a Brutalist Building a Hug?

We wanted to share some images of our recently-completed Lawrence Public Library in Lawrence, Kansas. The renovation and expansion has dramatically revitalized a 1970s Brutalist concrete building by “hugging” it with a permeable new skin that creates light-filled reading rooms and other public spaces. It has certainly been embraced by the Lawrence community…visits are up 55% over last year!
